CURATORIAL STATEMENT

Posing as an archaeologist, Joshua Goode’s discoveries are absurd and beyond belief, driven by a goal to straddle the line between total ridiculousness and believability — to blur the lines between fact and fiction. Not wanting people to believe any of this is fact, Joshua invites the observers to see how malleable the understanding of history and origins is, how easy it is for those in positions of authority to alter how we view our past and therefore present. (Un)believable discoveries is an effort to invite questions of what we accept as reality.
