CURATORIAL STATEMENT

In a world constantly shaped by technological advancement, the emergence of digital art represents more than just a medium—it embodies a shift in the way we perceive, create, and experience art. Natively Digital explores this transformation, spotlighting artists who are in transit between the realms of digital expression and traditional artistry. Our open call sought to amplify the mission of TAEX by curating a selection of NFTs that not only showcase artistic talent but also embody the ethos of natively digital thinking. Just as digital natives seamlessly navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology, we sought out artists who harness this mindset to push the boundaries of artistic innovation. The resulting selection of works from our open call celebrate the convergence of art and technology, bridging the gap between analogue and digital. Artists like Tatsuru Arai, with his captivating series Face Of Universe, and Maria Mavropoulou's A self portrait of an Algorithm, both mesmerise with their blend of digital art and organic elements, conceptualising and digitally manipulating, the merging of imagery in both of these artists work exemplify the ideas behind this drop. Their creations blur the lines between the real and the virtual, inviting viewers to contemplate the intersections of physical and digital realities. Natively Digital is about exploring the limitless possibilities of the digital age, where creativity knows no bounds and innovation flourishes. Through these curated artworks, we invite you to join us on a journey where art and technology intertwine, offering new dimensions of expression and insight into our rapidly evolving world.
