Transforming Energy

TAEX is proud to present a digital contribution to Transforming Energy, a series of 6 moving image pieces featuring Marina Abramović’s avatar, continuing a groundbreaking collaboration that began with the exhibition’s first iteration in Shanghai. 

TAEX’s contribution unfolds across the exhibition in two distinct forms—a monumental immersive installation titled Slow Walking and five digital exercises on small screens, that accompany installations Pyramid Portal B, Opening and Closing of Door, Wounded Geode B, Colour Screen, and As Slow As Possible.

This avatar is a new, completely lifelike digital twin of the artist at the age of 60, enabling an enduring performative presence. Created in 2025 to infinitely enact exercises based on the Marina Abramović Method, the project offers guidance, encounter, and reflection through an immersive installation and accompanying digital works.
